Cards, Cards, Cards

Today I have a couple of cards for you to see!  The first one, my ten year old son made - I only helped him a little!  The other two I made - one in honor of Jon Bon Jovi's 47th birthday a few days ago and the other a card for a huge promotion my mom got at work....I hope you enjoy these!  I (we) had fun making them!  If you do like them, please let me know!  I'm currently working on a baby layout and card - hope to have them up soon!  Happy Crafting!!!

This is Colin's card he made for his mom.  He picked out all the colors and the image.  We used paper studio paper, the imaginisce I-Rock for the fish's eye and the MEOW cricut lite cartridge.  On the inside is a stamped Pink By Design sentiment - Fishing You A Happy Birthday!  I think he did a nice job - how about you?

Here is a silly glittered guitar card in honor of Jon Bon Jovi's (i <3 him) 47th birthday!  In addition to MS glitter, I used Indie Rock and Nifty Fifties carts on this one!  Another Pink By Design (love her stamps!) sentiment inside this one - Just a Note...

This card is for my mom. She has worked in the College of Engineering at Purdue University...well, we'll just say for a LONG time...the last 10 years directly for the dean.  Now, beginning this last Tuesday, she is the Executive Assistant to the President of the University!!!  Huge Promotion...Way To Go Mom!  I made her a gold and black Congratulations card!  The picture below is the inside of the card!

Hang In There

Welcome Friends!  Last weekend, a sweet little lady that works for me had a massive heart attack.  I was shocked and kinda numb....I've been to see her a couple times this week and she is doing remarkably well!  I made this little card for her!  She loved it....but like I said, she is very sweet!  I hope you like it too!  If you do, let me know!  Thanks!  I used the Wild Card Cartridge and my Imaginisce I-Rock for the bling!

Ahhh.....can you feel it??? LOVE IS IN THE AIR....

YAY!  Another post for me today!  Happy Valentine's Day everyone!  It is truly one of my most favorite days!  I usually take a vacation this week too - you know for some Lisa time - clean, craft, relax, dr's appts - that kind of stuff.  This year is no different!  I am on vacation!  :)  Today, I want to share with you some of the heart day cards I made for my husband and little man.  I left several of them around the house this morning for them to find!  I reserved a few for later today as well!  I hope you like what you see and even find some creative inspiration!  If you do, please become a follower and leave me a comment.  I love to hear what you guys think!  Thanks!

Here is the outside of 2 cards I left out this morning.  I used Pink By Design Love Always stamp sets and some K&Company paper as well as red stickles!  Martha Stewart border punch....

Another Pink By Design Love Always Stamp and my Imaginisce I-Rock to add a little bling!

You make life sweeter sentiment by Pink By Design - Love Always and some yummy Divine Twine also from PBD!  I used my Imaginisce I-rock again and iridescent stickles this time!

This one is from the PBD Be Mine stamp set - it says "You've got my heart on a string."  It's hard to see in the picture as it is under the white ribbon but up close it looks pretty cool!

This card is made from Martha Stewart papers.  The sewing machine is from Nifty Fifties Cricut cartridge!  I had some random string and a button laying around (anyone who knows me, knows I have no clue where to even begin with sting and a button) and thought they added a nice touch!

And on the inside, I used the Pink By Design "Sew in Love" stamp from Be Mine to make a background.  I cut the Sew Happy Together picture out of a larger K&Company piece of paper and used my We R Memory Keepers SEWeasy and pink floss to do the stitching - first time I've used it - pretty easy to use - I just need to work on straight lines!

This one just might be my favorites!  DCWV papers for the cat and path, random specialty sheet for the background, Pink By Design Be Mine sentiment stamp and my cricut - used cricut lite furry friends cartridge!  Isn't she cute?!  I love her!
Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you can come back soon!  Remember, please if you like what you see, become a follower!  I hope you all have a great heart day!

Calendar for My Girl

For Christmas, I told my best girl all I want is for her to choose at least one day out of each month and block out some time for us!  It can be lunch, coffee, a bottle of wine, time for crafting....you name it...anything goes!  Along with this request, I made her calendar (which she still hasn't seen) to help her remember!  ;)  Here's a few pics!

The Cover

I love Nascar's commercial....WHO DOESN'T LOVE, LOVE?  I love, love!

I like this jack-o-lantern!

Happy Turkey Day

So you get the idea....just a fun little project from me to my bestie!  Happy Crafting!

New York City!!!!

It's been tooo long since I've posted something on here...I've been dying to post this little book I made for my mom (well, actually I made three - one for my SIL and myself too), but I had to wait until after I gave it to her.  My sister-in-law and I bought three round trip tickets and a hotel stay in NYC for my mom and of course for us - Mandy (SIL) and myself!  It was a surprise for Mom for Christmas.  We wanted to make her guess what her gift was so I made this little keepsake book for her (and one for Mandy and me!) and wrapped it up and gave it to her for Christmas.  It took her a few pages, but by the end she had it figured out!  :)  Here are a few of the pages as well as a pic of Mom and a pic of Mandy opening their books!

Cover of Mom's book.

Leaving on a Jet Plane....or hey, can someone get me a TAXI

Look closely....it's times square (we'll be staying on the square!) and a suitcase...

It's a girls weekend - gotta have envelopes for receipts and pics!

Pack your bags....we're going in January!

Mom has figured it out!!!  She was shocked - my little brother's comment to me was "great one, you about gave her a heart attack!"  Perfect - we got the reaction we were looking for!  She was shocked!

Mandy (my older bro's wife) with her keepsake book!  All smiles.....

The weekend of our trip is almost here, and we can't wait!  It's going to be a great girls getaway!  More pictures to post when we return!  :)

Baby Boy

My  neighbors welcomed their new baby boy into their home last week.  I thought I'd make them a little card to go with their "welcome baby" gift.  This is my first attempt at a New Baby card.....it turned out okay.
