Happy Birthday

I made this birthday card for a co-worker!  I hope she loved it!  :)  I  know I appreciated her taking the time to train me in my new position at work!  I'm also happy that I was able to celebrate her birthday with her!

I used a couple different Pink By Design stamp sets on this one including the large banner set!  I stamped the banners on the back of the paper and then cut them out.  I used divine twine also from Pink By Design on the banner.  I hope you like my card!

Wrigley Field

Scott and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary in September.  I like to buy "events" for Scott as presents.  It is hard to buy him "things" and events allow us time to be "alone together" and create fun memories.  This year, I bought him Cubs tickets.

I made this simple layout with our pictures from the day.  Of course, we had to have the W flag as the Cubbies won!  The bridge is on the skyway that we travel to get into Chicago from Indiana.  Of course, the Harry Caray statue is a must see!

The scoreboard in Wrigley Field is just one reason this ballpark is incredible!  If you look close, you can see the team flags have been lowered and the W flag has been raised!  Just another great day at the ballpark!

Bon Jovi Layout

This was one of the best nights of my life.  As a child of the 80's and early 90's, you can imagine, I am a huge huge HUGE fan of Bon Jovi!  Last summer, I saw them live at Soldier Field in Chicago!  My husband loved it because it was in Soldier Field and well, he's a BEARS fan.  I LOVE LOVE LOVEd it because it was BON JOVI!  They were touring and promoting the release of the album CIRCLE.  However, the oldies were played.....and oh so magical!  What a great time!

May 8th - Mom's Day

I'm pretty partial to my mom - basically, I think she's about the greatest thing out there!  There are so many wonderful things to say about her, that I'm not even going to start here or this blog will no doubt turn into a sentimental mess!  <3  Today, I made a little card honoring Mom's day - will it be the one I give my mom?  I'm not sure yet!  I know I can't wait to give her an All-In-One organizing tote from Thirty-One Gifts filled with her favorite things though!  The card (whichever one I end up giving her) will just be an added bonus!  I hope you like this card - I enjoyed making it!  Let me know what you think!  Here's a pic...

For this card, I used DCWV papers from the Mademoiselle stack, some craft paper and a few scraps.  I also used the paper studio pearls and twine from Pink By Design.  I cut the tub from the sugar and spice lite cartridge.  The lamp and butterfly came from the sentimentals cart!  Right now the inside is blank - just a 4x4 kraft square to personalize later!  The card is 6x6.  Let me know what you think!  Thanks for visiting!  Happy Crafting!

Impact Team

Like most companies, we have a safety/shrink awareness team.  We just happen to call it our Impact Team.  I head the team, and each year I take a picture of our team (it changes a little bit each year) and post it.  This year, I decided to jazz it up a little bit!  I used Kraft paper and whole lotta scraps!  I also used the cricut lite Hoot 'n' Holler cartridge (I've decided this is my favorite lite!!!) to make the owl and the sentiment.  I used studio g ink to ink the edges of the kraft paper, some random photo corners and stickabilities black letter/number stickers.  I will post this in our lounge at work with the rest of our shrink awareness info. Thanks for looking today!  Let me know if you like what you see!  Happy Crafting!!!

Birthday Girl

My best girl had a birthday last weekend!  Of course I had to make her a card!  :)  For this card, I used Recollections solid papers and a few sheets of My Mind's Eye simply delightful stack!  I used the Wild Card Cricut cartridge to cut the card and envelop.  I added a little stickles for a glittery effect and a paper studio pearl!  I also used Pink By Design stamps!  I used the sentiment from "Growing old is mandatory, Growing up is optional!" from Take the Cake set!  I hope you enjoy this card as well!  I know my best girl...well that and her Scentsy gift (thanks...  Richlyn!    http://richlynrice.scentsy.com)

Let me know if you like my card!  Thanks!

Babies Babies Babies......

A lady that works for me is having a baby!  Her baby shower is this weekend and her friends at work asked me to make a card for her!  I used the wild card cricut cartridge, Martha Stewart paper and a little stickles and a paper studios pearl!  I hope you like it!  If you do, please let me know!  :)

Thanks, Grandma!

My family has planned a wonderful trip to Disney this summer!   YAY FAMILY!!!  My wonderful grandma is an RCI member.  She (as always) was gracious enough to use her points to help us get an extremely week in an extremely nice resort just 5 miles from Disney!  So to thank her, I made her a little card and I sent her an angel brooch.  She often (almost always) is wearing one and so I wanted to give her one that I thought she would really love!  She received it in the mail today and let me know right away how much she does love it!  Yay!  Aren't grandma's the best?  I mean really - the only thing I wish - is that she lived closer to us....and could be here FOREVER of course!  I am a very lucky person who comes from a great family.  I was a very lucky child to have loving parents who are stilled married today - something like 38-39 yrs?!?!?  And then to be 35 and still have my most wonderful grandma in my life - truly, I am blessed.  I love her madly!  I wish I could see her every single day!  Okay so enough with all the mushy stuff....here is my card!  I hope you like it.  Please if you do, follow me, let me know you like it!  Send your friends here too!  Thanks!

I used the wild card CRICUT cartridge for this card.  I also used We R Memory Keepers papers from the grandma's kitchen designer scrapbook pad.  I actually inked my edges with a sharpie and added a little bling with my Imaginisce I-Rock!

Well, I hope you like my card!  If you do, please give your grandma a hug today.  If that's not possible, hug someone who is like a grandma to you!  I have a few of those around here locally too.  One has been ailing lately, and I can't seem to get her off my mind so I'm going to do some crafting for her and make a special delivery!  :)  Anyway, Happy Crafting!

Easter will be here before we know it!!!

How exciting is it to have your friends and family ask you to create a card or sentiment tag, etc. for them to give one of their friends or loved ones???  Recently,  I have had two different people ask me to do this for them!  I am stoked!!!  My friends asking me to do this for them has been the BEST form of recognition and flattery for me!  It really means they like my creations!!!  The first was a birthday card.  I didn't get a very good picture of it before I gave it away though.  :(  I posted a pic of it on FB but then didn't like the orientation of it so I changed it around.  The only pic I took of the new version was blurry.  Oh well.  The second request was for an Easter card for a (approx) 2 yr old!  How fun, right?!?!?  I decided I wanted to put an Easter bunny on the front hopping along through the green spring grass!  So I used Create-a-Critter cart and an action wobble to give my bunny some mobility!  How fun for a little girl, right!  Here it is.......

I also used a Pink By Design sentiment stamp on the inside - it reads Hippity-Hoppity-Happy!  I used stickles to add a little glitter to the flowers in the background as well!  Super cute, right???  If  you think so, please let me know!  That's all for now!  Thanks for looking!  Happy Crafting!

It's A Boy!!!!

Congratulations to my friends Amy and Andy on their second little boy! He was brought into this world last Sunday!  I have made a layout for them to document his date/time of birth, name, weight, height or whatever info they'd like to put on there as well as a picture of their new little guy!  The layout is from an American Crafts Kit that I took and changed up a little bit.....I hope you like it!  I also made them a card using some cuts from Wild Cards cricut cdartridge!  I also used the cuttlebug to emboss the background - I inked it first!  This is the first time I have tried that technique, and I must admit I LOVE LOVE LOVE the effect and it was so simple!  I'm not sure why I was afraid to try it!  Anyway, I hope you like my baby goods......leave me a quick comment if you do - or better yet - become a follower!  Thanks for viewing and as always, Happy Crafting!!!

There is a diecut inside as well - it says "It's a Boy"

Cards, Cards, Cards

Today I have a couple of cards for you to see!  The first one, my ten year old son made - I only helped him a little!  The other two I made - one in honor of Jon Bon Jovi's 47th birthday a few days ago and the other a card for a huge promotion my mom got at work....I hope you enjoy these!  I (we) had fun making them!  If you do like them, please let me know!  I'm currently working on a baby layout and card - hope to have them up soon!  Happy Crafting!!!

This is Colin's card he made for his mom.  He picked out all the colors and the image.  We used paper studio paper, the imaginisce I-Rock for the fish's eye and the MEOW cricut lite cartridge.  On the inside is a stamped Pink By Design sentiment - Fishing You A Happy Birthday!  I think he did a nice job - how about you?

Here is a silly glittered guitar card in honor of Jon Bon Jovi's (i <3 him) 47th birthday!  In addition to MS glitter, I used Indie Rock and Nifty Fifties carts on this one!  Another Pink By Design (love her stamps!) sentiment inside this one - Just a Note...

This card is for my mom. She has worked in the College of Engineering at Purdue University...well, we'll just say for a LONG time...the last 10 years directly for the dean.  Now, beginning this last Tuesday, she is the Executive Assistant to the President of the University!!!  Huge Promotion...Way To Go Mom!  I made her a gold and black Congratulations card!  The picture below is the inside of the card!

Ahhh.....can you feel it??? LOVE IS IN THE AIR....

YAY!  Another post for me today!  Happy Valentine's Day everyone!  It is truly one of my most favorite days!  I usually take a vacation this week too - you know for some Lisa time - clean, craft, relax, dr's appts - that kind of stuff.  This year is no different!  I am on vacation!  :)  Today, I want to share with you some of the heart day cards I made for my husband and little man.  I left several of them around the house this morning for them to find!  I reserved a few for later today as well!  I hope you like what you see and even find some creative inspiration!  If you do, please become a follower and leave me a comment.  I love to hear what you guys think!  Thanks!

Here is the outside of 2 cards I left out this morning.  I used Pink By Design Love Always stamp sets and some K&Company paper as well as red stickles!  Martha Stewart border punch....

Another Pink By Design Love Always Stamp and my Imaginisce I-Rock to add a little bling!

You make life sweeter sentiment by Pink By Design - Love Always and some yummy Divine Twine also from PBD!  I used my Imaginisce I-rock again and iridescent stickles this time!

This one is from the PBD Be Mine stamp set - it says "You've got my heart on a string."  It's hard to see in the picture as it is under the white ribbon but up close it looks pretty cool!

This card is made from Martha Stewart papers.  The sewing machine is from Nifty Fifties Cricut cartridge!  I had some random string and a button laying around (anyone who knows me, knows I have no clue where to even begin with sting and a button) and thought they added a nice touch!

And on the inside, I used the Pink By Design "Sew in Love" stamp from Be Mine to make a background.  I cut the Sew Happy Together picture out of a larger K&Company piece of paper and used my We R Memory Keepers SEWeasy and pink floss to do the stitching - first time I've used it - pretty easy to use - I just need to work on straight lines!

This one just might be my favorites!  DCWV papers for the cat and path, random specialty sheet for the background, Pink By Design Be Mine sentiment stamp and my cricut - used cricut lite furry friends cartridge!  Isn't she cute?!  I love her!
Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you can come back soon!  Remember, please if you like what you see, become a follower!  I hope you all have a great heart day!
